Nature
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a macromolecule compound synthesized from vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) and its structural unit (-CH2-CHCl-)n,n is the degree of polymerization, usually 590-1500. In the process of polymerization, 8 different types of PVC resins can be produced due to the influence of various factors such as polymerization process, reaction conditions, reactant composition and additives, so the properties of these resins are different. According to the amount of vinyl chloride in polyvinyl chloride resin, it can be divided into three grades: industrial grade, food grade and health grade. The appearance of polyvinyl chloride resin is white powder or white particulate with an average density of 1.40g/cm2.

Applications
Polyvinyl chloride resin has a wide range of applications and can be used in the production and processing of PVC hard products, soft products, coatings and adhesives.
1. PVC soft products can be extruded into hoses, cables and wires by extruder; plastic sandals, soles, slippers, toys, automobile accessories can be made by injection moulding machine with various moulds.
2. After mixing and plasticizing PVC film with additives, transparent or colored film with specified thickness is formed by three-roll or four-roll calender. The film is processed by this method and becomes calendered film. It can also be tailored and heat-bonded to process packaging bags, raincoats, tablecloths, curtains, inflatable toys, etc. Wide transparent film can be used for greenhouse, plastic greenhouse and film. The properties of heat shrinkage of biaxially stretched film can be used for shrinkage packaging.
3. Artificial leather with substrates for PVC coated products is made by coating PVC paste on cloth or paper and plasticizing it above 100 degrees Celsius. PVC and additives can also be calendered into thin films, and then pressed with the substrate. Substrate-free artificial leather is directly calendered into a certain thickness of soft sheet, and then pressed with patterns. Artificial leather can be used to make suitcases, bags, book covers, sofas and car cushions, as well as floor leather, as building paving materials.
4. PVC foam products soft PVC mixing, adding appropriate amount of foaming agent to make sheet, foaming molding into foam plastic, can be used as foam slippers, sandals, insoles, and shockproof cushioning packaging materials. The extruder can also be used to form low foaming rigid PVC sheets and profiles, which can replace wood for trial use. It is a new type of building material.
5. PVC transparent sheet PVC transparent sheet is made by mixing, plasticizing and calendering with impact modifier and organotin stabilizer. Thermoforming can be used to make thin-walled transparent containers or vacuum suction packaging. It is an excellent packaging material and decorative material, such as moon cake packaging box.
6. Stabilizers, lubricants and fillers are added to PVC rigid plates and sheets. After mixing, extruders can extrude hard pipes, special-shaped pipes and corrugated pipes of various calibers, which can be used as sewer pipes, drinking pipes, wire sleeves or staircase handrails. By overlapping the calendered sheets and hot pressing, hard sheets of various thicknesses can be made. The sheet can be cut into the desired shape, and then welded with hot air by PVC electrode into various chemical corrosion resistant tanks, air ducts and containers.
